My husband and I had enrolled our son in a Montessori School at the age of 18 months. We were told that the Montessori program was excellent but little did we know that all Montessori Schools were NOT the same. We were not happy with the Montessori school he was attending so we carefully started interviewing multiple Montessori School Directors to find the best one in the Carrollton, Plano, and Frisco area. At the time we lived in Carrollton and did not mind commuting to Plano or Frisco if we found the right school for our son. After carefully interviewing multiple schools, our last stop was the Alpha Montessori in Plano. We met with Mrs. Rupali, the director and owner of the school. My husband and I were immediately impressed. She took us on a tour; we discussed the truly impressive curriculum. . She performed an evaluation on our son to see where he was in terms of development. The staff was fantastic and friendly. I loved that Mrs. Rupali (owner and director) did not have an office at the school. This is intentional as she does not care to sit behind a desk. She wants to be involved in every single area and program of the school. We had such a GREAT feeling about the school that we signed up our son immediately. It is now a year later since we enrolled our son and my husband and I are just as excited about the school as we were a year ago. The staff is still fantastic! My son's confidence level is sky high. He LOVES walking in every single day. As a matter of fact, he walks in and never looks back. It is such a great feeling to know that he is genuinely happy there. His grammar and speech have dramatically improved. His manners are just amazing. He has become so independent and his personality just shines. His teachers have spent individual time with him to "catch him up". What a phenomenal job they have done! He now corrects our grammar which we find extremely funny! We knew that we were NOT happy with his progress at his old Montessori school (thank God, that school is now closed), but this only confirms that just because they have the Montessori "name" doesn't mean it is the right school for your child. Mrs. Rupali has a background in the Montessori program as well as child development. You have to know the owner and director's background as well their interest in your child's development. This is the right school for our son! We love it and wished we would have found this place when he was 18 months old. Better late than never! He is doing wonderful and that makes us happy as parents. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Our Team

The quality of any Montessori Program begins with a team of adults who are trained in the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. At Alpha Montessori, the Director, Program Consultant and Lead Teaching staff, all hold Montessori certificates and are assisted by qualified support persons.

The Director, Rupali Abdulpurkar, an AMS (American Montessori Society) teacher, who has over twelve years of classroom teaching experience at the early childhood and elementary levels in Montessori schools in Plano, Dallas, and other international schools in Stockholm, Sweden. She also holds degrees in Homeopathic Medical Sciences and a B.S. in Business from Bombay University, India.

She believes that giving children a Montessori education is one of the best ways to make a positive contribution to society. Ms. Rupali believes that the schools are her personal legacy. That’s why it’s especially important to her to be accessible for conversation with students, parents, faculty, and staff. She brings with her a love for learning and teaching both from a mother’s perspective and a teacher’s whose focus is on lifetime learning.

The Program Director, Lynda Landreth, has accumulated over thirty years of Montessori parenting, teaching and directing in schools in the Dallas and Carrollton area. Her collaboration with Alpha Montessori is to guide the staff in providing true Montessori concepts and classroom organization. She holds a BFA degree in Fine Arts and C.M.E. in Montessori Primary education. In addition to her work as the Program Director, she presents seminars for parents and teachers on how to build character values in children. The Character for Kids seminars are currently being conducted at universities in Russia, Ukraine, and Lithuania, as well as the United States, with the goal of training future teachers to be models of character and to give them an understanding of the way children acquire these values: Honesty – Trustworthiness – Respect – Responsibility – Courage – Caring – Fairness – Hope. Qualities Taught In Montessori Schools Around The World

The Lead Teachers are chosen for their love for young children and their Montessori training in the specific ages of their students. In addition to their Montessori certification, our teachers are giving additional training in child development, communication and other aspects of teaching which further their effectiveness in the classroom. Our teachers work closely with their assistants, sometimes Montessori interns, to give them a sense of the way children learn. Their cooperation in the classroom is a model for the students in social interaction as well as leadership.

With this team, Alpha Montessori strives to provide a strong foundation for the next generation of leaders, thinkers and creators. With self confidence and a sense of purpose, students are prepared to enter the next level of education. We want Alpha Montessori to be a place where each child can reach their fullest potential.
